Fun Afternoon

Spent with my favorite girl!
Daddy had ball practice so we
decorated Easter eggs for the big
hunt at daycare tomorrow. They had to
be plastic eggs so we decorated with stickers.
She was having fun until she wasn't!
They are so cute & funny at this age. One
second they are having a blast doing someting
and then they are just done with it!
Oh how I love that dirty face!
(you can't really tell it's dirty in the pic but it was)

And here are a few of the Easter basket
cupcakes we made for her class. We used
twizzlers for the basket handles and I think
they turned out quite cute!

Since Friday is Good Friday, daycare is closed
and Henry is off of work so we can spend the
whole day together! It seems with things being
so busy lately that we haven't had alot of time,
just the 3 of us, so I'm looking forward to it!

Wordless Wednesday

I love love love this picture of Aleigha & Papaw
playing in her house.

Aleigha's Birthday Part 2

As you can tell from the first post we had an
absolute Elmolicious party.
Here's me and the birthday girl while the party was starting.

She wasn't sure what to think of all the people in her
back yard at first but she warmed up & started to play.

The kids played for awhile and the adult's visited.

We began opening gifts and she had so much fun
going through them all. Papaw got her a princess
case full of make-up. How cute!

I think she was more excited about the Dora
paper on this present.

Tyler wanted to help her open everything and
I dont think she minded one bit.

She got so much it's ridiculous. From arts/craft supplies,
clothes, shoes, beach/sand toys, oven mittens & cookie dough
for her kitchen and 3 purses from Gymboree. I think
she has a purse to match every outfit she has.
Mamaw & Papaw got her a play house and
let's just say it was a big hit at the party. I
thought it was cute that all of the little boys
beat her getting into it :)
Nana sent her a Mercedes Benz SUV.
She can't quite reach the pedals yet but
she loves riding as a passenger.
We got he a sand/water table and it was
another hit. All of the kids wanted to play
with it.
Here's all of the kids lining up to play
"Pin the Nose of Elmo".

They all got a kick out of this game but
cousin Tyler won with his nose being the closest.

Here's the birthday girl swinging away!

Singing Happy Birthday and getting ready
to blow out her candle. I'm disappointed I
didn't get an actual picture of her blowing
out her candle but I'll deal.
Granny & Aunt Buddy got her a picnic table.

Here are some of the kids playing with the
sand/water table.

Daddy getting ready to pull the pinata string.
I didn't think it was fair for the big kids to bust
Elmo to pieces while the babies watched.
Baby girl was picking up as much candy as she could.

I think this picture of Aleigha & Addison is so cute.
Lindsey (Addison's mom) & I grew up together and
are very good friends and our babies are in the same
class at daycare and you can tell. All day, if you seen
one of them the other was soon to follow.
(their daycare teacher says they fight all the time)
kinda funny huh!
After everyone was gone Mamaw & Papaw stuck
around a while to play.

My brother got her this jump-o-lene and
Aleigha has jumped in it everyday.
I guess it will be the newest decoration to
our living room for the time being.
I think she had the best day and played until dark.
But the fun didn't stop there.

Aleigha's Birthday Part 1

Saturday was Aleigha's 2nd birthday party & it went so well.
I was/still am miserably covered in poison ivy.
That's why it has taken me so long to post any pictures.
I didn't get near the pictures I wanted but honestly
I was itching so bad I couldn't even think straight.
We decorated mostly with tons of Elmo balloons and
the primary colors red, blue & yellow.
Here is her cake/cupcakes below. I loved how
the cake turned out and it was delicious.
I didn't get a good picture but you can see
Dorothy hanging out behind the cake.

This is the banner my Mom & I made. A little
scrapbook paper, card stock & ribbon. It was time
consuming but lots of fun to make and we can use
it over & over. I'll just have to take off or change the "2".

Here's elmo hanging out waiting to be pulled on.

We also had a bucket full of Elmo juices and the

kids went crazy for them.

I also had a little red bucket filled with Hershey

nuggets with Elmo wrappers. These were a hit

also. Everyone thought they were so cute.

Here are the tags I had made that went on the

goody bags. I filled the goody bags with small toys,

stickers and fruit roll ups and then when it was time

for the pinata I handed them out & they filled their

bag up with candy!

I have more pictures to come, I'm just breaking it

up because I can't sit still for very long. This itching is

making me crazy and the medicine they have me on

makes me extremely hyper.

Our Weekend

We spent this past weekend out of town
with Henry's brother & family.
Aleigha didn't like cartoon's the other
kids were watching so we had to bring her
dvd player in so she could watch Barney & Elmo

I loved this picture below, they fell asleep
kind of early & looked so peaceful
We had alot of fun even though the weather
was kind of nasty & we were stuck inside
all weekend long

I think somebody was a little tired from all
the playing because this is how she ended
up soon after we got home early Sunday

We also converted her crib to a toddler bed
and this was her first time sleeping in it like
a big girl. She still isn't very fond of her own bed
& wakes up between 2-5 every morning &
gets in bed with us. It's a working progress!

On another note...she started running fever
again yesterday and her doctor was concerned
because she is on antibiotics from her sinus infection
and said it is not normal for her fever to keep spiking.
We are headed back to the doctor this afternoon
and hopefully we'll get some more answers as to
what is going on with our little monkey.
Please pray that it's nothing serious & I'll update
later as to what we find out.

12 Days til 2

I can't believe there are only 12 more days
til Aleigha turns 2!
I have almost everything ready for her party
with a few exceptions
and all the invites have been sent.
We tried getting a pic of her in her birthday
outfit for her invite but she wasn't having it
so we had to pick one we already had & since
she never smiles this is the best we
came up with but I love it.
I am skipping school today & keeping her home
with me. She was up all night whining/crying
and running fever in the 101-102 range.
Other than a little runny nose there isn't anything
else visibly wrong with her but she may be cutting
some teeth. She's never really ran fever with
cutting teeth so I'm not sure what's going on so
I'm just gonna watch her for a few hours before
deciding to go to the doctor again.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Sicky Icky

What a week....we have been super busy and
I'm ready for things to slow down but I don't
think it will anytime soon. Wednesday Aleigha
started getting a cough again so we took her
to the doctor...upper respiratory infection!
They sent us home with some steroids and
more asthma inhalers and had us do a breathing
treatment on her while in the office. Her doctor
said if we have to come in again with the same
wheezing/coughing spells they will be sending
us home with a nebulizer and diagnose her
as an asthma patient. She said we have been
in there too many times with this over the last year
and it concerns her so atleast we know wht the
deal is now & I can stop worrying so much
as to what is going on with my little love bug.
We were a little early for her appointment so
we stopped by the mall. Gymboree had a great
sale on swimsuits so we got 2 and she had
to have these sunglasses. She wouldn't even take
them off at the doctors office. Everyone thought
she was too cute.

She has spent the weekend at my parents, I seen
her briefly yesterday & I am missing her like
C-R-A-Z-Y!
We've had a fun weekend with the
brother-in-law and his girlfriend but I am
so ready to go pick her up. It's nice out today
so we are ending the weekend with a trip
to the park late this afternoon.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Yay for good weather

Yesterday I picked up Aleigha from daycare &
we spent all afternoon outside playing. The weather
was beautiful and it's going to be like that all
weekend. So that means we'll be outside all weekend.
I have to spend the morning taking a defensive
driving class for a ticket I got back in November....boo!
Oh well, it's better to take the class so our insurance
doesn't go up.

She loves to swing. She doesn't stay in one
spot for long. She goes from one thing to the next.

Gotta love that smile :)

We even went for a walk
(she was calling Daddy)

She picked some flowers

and played with them with such curiosity

We hope everyone has a funfilled weekend!
