Friend Makin Monday - Superbowl Edition

Welcome back for another week of...

Wanna join in? Just head on over to {aefilkins}
and link up. Today's topic is Super bowl.
Did you watch the Super bowl?
Absolutely!
If so, who were you rooting for?
Well the Saints of course
Where did you watch it?
At home!
What did you eat?
We ordered pizza, my parents picked it
up and came over for the game but then my
dad got called out to work.
Favorite Super bowl commercial?
Probably the Doritos Play nice commercial
where the guy comes over for a date & the little
boy gets in his face! But I liked the T-pain Budweiser
one as well.
Least favorite?
I would have to say the Boost Mobile Shuffle.
What did you think of the half time show?
Boring...I dont even think we really watched it.
Who do you wish would of been in the half time show?
Anyone besides The Who. Would of like to see
someone more current.
What about you?

Proud to be a Louisianian

Super Bowl XLIV Champions
Dats Us!

Even though Miss Priss was rocking
her Saints gear she was far from into
the game, just her Mardi Gras beads.
But we did have her chanting
Who Dat!
I have always been a Saints fan... even when they
weren't that great, but I've never been as happy to be a
Saints fan as I was last night. It was a good feeling
and a great win for us.

Geaux Saints!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Yesterday was my dad's birthday so we had
my parents & Pop over for dinner &
birthday brownies.
Papaw & Aleigha playing with play doh.

It was so cute, she was 'helping' Papaw open
his presents but kept telling him
"help me Papaw".
(my mom in the background deeply into desperate housewives)
We love spending time with our family.
Henry's brother & his family are hopefully
coming down this weekend for the Mardi Gras
parade Saturday. I don't think they have ever been
so it will be exciting for them.
We went every year growing up & I plan on
making that a tradition with Aleigha as well.
Sunday is a big day for us also. We plan on
watching our boys take down the
COLTS
Count On Losing The Superbowl!
Who Dat!
Geaux Saints!

Birthday Party & Globetrotter Fun

On Sunday we went to a special little girls 2nd birthday party.
We had lots of fun hanging out with friends and the babies
played so well. Addison had a great birthday & her
cake was to die for.

Growing up our parents took us to see the
Harlem Globetrotters. They normally come
here every February and I was excited that
Henry & Aleigha got a chance to see them this year.
Aleigha was kind of interested in the ballgame but
more interested in the people walking around
selling cotton candy & sno cones. I only wish I
had a picture of the look on her face when
she put the cotton candy in her mouth. I'll
just say that was a waste of money so we settled
for some dippin dots. Papaw bought her a
Globetrotter basketball so afterwards we went
down & got some autographs. We also got a really
good picture of her & I with one of the Globetrotters
but it's on Henry's iphone & he still hasn't sent it to me.

Sci-Port

Aleigha spent the night with my mom & dad Friday night
(my brother & nephew were there also)
so by Saturday morning they were ready to get out of the house.
It's been cold & rainy and the kids hate being cooped up for so long.
They decided to take the kids to Sci-Port. I really wanted
to go but I have a test Monday so I decided to stay home & study
but it looks like they had a great time.

We have a birthday party to attend this afternoon. It's one of
my best friends little girl, Addison. Her & Aleigha are
8 weeks apart and they are also in the same class at daycare.
They are best buddies & I hope they stay that way forever!
I hope everyone had a great weekend :)

Girl's Day Out

Aleigha & I had a Girl's Day on Friday.
I picked her up early from daycare and
we went to the Boardwalk to shop & eat!
We had alot of fun & Miss Independent
wanted to walk everywhere instead of ride
in her stroller. She had the most fun by
the huge fountain! I had to drag her
away from it. I can't wait to have
more of these days as she gets older!
